Matt Carle is a lifelong Alaskan who grew up in the village of Hydaburg. He currently serves as the Senior System Director of Brand Identity, Healing Hand Foundation, and Tribal Relations for the Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC). In this role, Matt leads SEARHC’s formal communications programs, including marketing, branding, tribal relations, and media engagement efforts. He is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Prior to his role at SEARHC, Matt was the Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Community Outreach for Sealaska Corporation, where he led an award-winning team overseeing shareholder communications, media relations, community outreach, and philanthropy.
Matt has extensive experience in reputation management, crisis communications, stakeholder engagement, and public relations, having spent 15 years at Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. During his time there, he held several leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Alaska Native Program Director.
Matt is also committed to community service, serving on the boards of several corporate and non-profit organizations, including the Alaska Sports Hall of Fame, the Blood Bank of Alaska, and the Alaska Native Science and Engineering Program (ANSEP) Advisory Council.
The Alaska Journal of Commerce named him a 2015 Top 40 Under 40 recipient and he was also recognized by the National Center for the American Indian Enterprise Development’s 2015 “Native American 40 Under 40” Award.
