The Rocinante Scholarship was established at the Foundation by the family and friends of Eric Zentner to honor his legacy of quietly assisting others over the 38 years he walked this earth.
The scholarship awards $1,000 annually to an undergraduate single mother enrolled in their first, second, third, or fourth year of undergraduate studies in any discipline at the University of Alaska Southeast.
Applicants can submit a 200-300 word essay describing their life’s journey to date and their academic and personal goals going forward.
The application period closes on October 1st, and the scholarship is awarded on December 1st.
