The Southeast Alaska Food Bank is focused on the future of Juneau and Southeast Alaska. The simple fact is… they need more space. The Food Bank currently has a store and warehouse that totals 2300 square feet. Additionally, they have 2 offsite storage spaces they rent. The new warehouse will be approximately 4000 square feet and will give the Food Bank the ability to purchase full container loads of food and be able to store it onsite. The land lease from the CBJ has been secured and they are in the permitting process to start work for excavation. These are exciting times as the Food Bank looks toward the future, and continued efforts to help our neighbors fight food insecurity.
