Auke Lake Recreation Area & Trail Project

This project will result in a variety of improvements to the Auke Lake recreation area. As UAS, Auke Lake, and the Valley have become more accessible and connected, the overall recreation use level has increased. Community members have identified various upgrades that would facilitate even greater use of the easily accessed area: a swimmer’s dock, picnic tables, benches, restrooms and a trail connection from the Auke Lake Trail to the Lower Montana Creek Trail.

Short term, medium term and long term goals will be set with input from the community, user groups, advisors and land owners. Volunteer work will be used as much as feasible to maximize the impact of donations to the Fund.
